El madrileño Javier Vargas es una institución del blues y el rock español, desde la posición de privilegio que le otorgan sus más de tres décadas y alrededor de veinte discos al frente de la Vargas Blues Band. Su nuevo trabajo, "Blues Magic Live" (2024), exhibe uno de sus fuertes: la potencia de su directo, en este caso con la grabación de un concierto el mes de diciembre del año pasado en Madrid, en la que abordaba sus clásicos junto a invitados de postín como Bobby Alexander, Miguel Ríos o John Parsons. Otra demostración de vigor, que enluce un historial que cuenta con colaboraciones de Andrés Calamaro, Rafael Riqueni, Flaco Jiménez, Chris Rea o Carles Benavent, y conciertos en los más prestigiosos festivales de blues del mundo.
