Located between Plaza de las Cibeles and Puerta de Alcalá, The James Joyce Irish pub offers the most authentic Irish atmosphere in the heart of Madrid. The cuisine is a combination of the best that both Ireland and Spain have to offer, bringing you the most sought after home comforts. Our selection of alcohol goes above and beyond, bringing beers from across the world, as well as keeping our local heritage serving “cervezas” brewed right here in Madrid.
Prior to being The James Joyce Irish Pub, the Café Lion could be found in this location, one of Madrid's oldest and most famous cafés. To pay respect to it’s heritage we have maintained and incorporated the history into the structure and atmosphere of the pub.
We pride ourselves in being a part of the community in Madrid, hosting consistent live music several times a week, we get people on their feet. Not to mention our endless amount of live sports we show on our many screens. To go the extra mile, we have a language exchange every Monday evening from 20:00 bringing both Spaniards and foreigners together.
Our international team are the heart of the pub.

Situado entre la Plaza de las Cibeles y la Puerta de Alcalá , The James Joyce Irish Pub ofrece un ambiente auténticamente irlandés con un equipo de Irlanda, España y una variedad de otras nacionalidades. Con una cocina de ambos países, en la elaboración de los mejores platos de cada país. Por si esto fuera poco, disponemos de pantallas gigantes en las que, pueden seguir en vivo, todo típo de deportes, incluso, FUTBOL, RUGBY, FUTBOL AMERICANO, GOLF, TENIS. Además, tenemos música en directo varias días a la semana.

Tenemos un intercambio cada lunes a partir de las 20h00.

Disponemos de una sala privada para celebraciones y fiestas con su propio sistema de música.

Antes de ser el James Joyce Pub, el Café Lion se encontraba aquí, uno de los cafés más famosos de Madrid, por eso hemos intentado incorporar el ambiente de este café.
